Unity Burning Bowl Ceremony 2024

January 3, 2024, at 11 a.m. (CT)

On January 3, the daily Unity Prayer Service on Facebook will be devoted to the annual burning bowl ceremony. Join us to release whatever you want to leave behind in the old year and watch it go up in flames. Fire is a symbol of purification and release, and this annual service allows us to enter the new year renewed and open to possibilities. Submit what you want to release on the Unity website.

MLK Celebration Concert: Songs of Hope, Courage, and Unity

January 15, 2024, at 3 p.m. (CT)

To celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day this year, Unity is hosting an online celebration concert. We’ll be hearing songs that inspired Dr. King and countless others in their quest to hold us all accountable for assuring life, liberty, and equality for all human beings.

We invite you to listen as we bring you a selection of the stories and songs that continue to uplift and inspire.

During the concert, you will also hear from Rev. Kathy Beasley, senior manager of the Unity Prayer Ministry; Rev. Sandra Campbell, executive director of Unity Urban Ministerial School; and Emanuel Walker, digital strategy manager at Unity World Headquarters, talking about the history of the songs and their impact on the Civil Rights Movement.

You’re sure to hear some of your favorite songs sung by New Thought artists including Stephanie Bland, Rev. Sandra Campbell, Misa Malone, John Stringer, and Eddie Watkins Jr., plus a compilation of musicians singing “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”

Unity Books Presents: 100 Years of Daily Word

Daily Word® magazine is celebrating its 100th anniversary and to mark the occasion, Unity has just released a new book: 100 Years of Daily Word, edited by Rev. Ellen Debenport.

This online celebration will include discussions with Revs. Ellen Debenport, Teresa Burton, Kathy Beasley, Jim Blake, Sandra Campbell, and Anne Tabor.

  • Rev. Teresa Burton, editor of Daily Word, shares the origins of the magazine along with a behind-the-scenes look at how it is put together.
