Welcome to the Unity Labyrinth, a masterpiece of craftsmanship and design. Spanning 6,358 square feet with a three-quarters-mile path, this 90-foot diameter labyrinth is the largest paver labyrinth in the United States. Designed in an 11-circuit medieval pattern, it features wide, wheelchair-accessible paths leading to three granite benches at its center. Created by a renowned stone artisan and completed in 2022, the labyrinth is a sanctuary for reflection and renewal.
The Unity Labyrinth is more than just a beautiful structure; it’s a tool for mindfulness. Its Mediterranean-inspired design and sacred ambiance invite everyone, regardless of faith or background, to seek clarity and tranquility. Whether you’re looking for spiritual solace or a moment of quiet reflection, the labyrinth offers a profound experience.
Our photo gallery invites you to explore the labyrinth’s intricate design, offering a glimpse into its unique sacredness.
The Unity Labyrinth is a contemporary interpretation of an ancient tradition that spans more than 4,000 years. Stone artisan Marty Kermeen of Labyrinths in Stone designed the labyrinth, laying thousands of stones by hand with the assistance of his wife, Debi. This landmark is also part of the Art Line project—an array of interactive outdoor artworks along the 39th latitude—imbuing it with spiritual and historical significance. Walking the labyrinth allows for focused contemplation on personal challenges, often leading to deep insights. The path inward and back fosters personal revelations. Beneath the stones lie messages and prayers from past visitors, enriching its contemplative atmosphere. This timeless addition, made possible with support from Unity donors, resonates deeply with the spirit of our times.
The labyrinth is a sacred space meant for quiet reflection. As you visit, please observe silence, leave pets and food behind and avoid open flames. Out of respect for others’ experiences, kindly refrain from photographing those walking the labyrinth.
The labyrinth is designed to be fully accessible, with a wide path suitable for wheelchairs. As you go through it, allow yourself to relax and breathe deeply. Move at a pace that feels natural, and don’t hesitate to let others pass or step aside if needed. Open your senses to the tranquility around you and use the labyrinth as a metaphor for your own journey. If it feels right, set a personal intention before you begin.
As you enter the labyrinth, focus on releasing what no longer serves you. At the center, remain open to receiving insights or messages. As you make your way out, carry the wisdom and clarity gained into your everyday life.
