Our grand Venetian-inspired fountain, the largest installation in the Kansas City area, spans 14,090 square feet and extends the length of a football field. This elegant feature has three mirror pools in our central courtyard, creating a restful retreat amid picturesque surroundings. The centerpiece, the Bridge of Faith, was designed by Rickert Fillmore and dedicated by Lowell Fillmore in 1951. This popular venue for weddings and special events was rebuilt in 2004 to meet modern accessibility standards and serves as a tribute from the Fillmores’ sons to honor their parents’ legacy.
The east end of the courtyard features a raised bowl fountain surrounded by the Rose Garden, started in 1952. Home to about 800 roses in numerous varieties, the garden is often recognized by visitors as a peaceful place to relax surrounded by the majesty of water sounds.
